ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility & Prerequisites

To ensure learners are prepared for credentialed coursework and proctored exams, applicants must meet the following requirements.

Industry Experience

A minimum of 400 hours of hospitality industry experience, including exposure to both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. At least 100 hours must be completed in each area across two or more positions.

Professional Reference

One professional or character reference confirming demonstrated workplace competencies, submitted using the NextShift reference form.

These requirements help ensure learners enter the program ready to succeed and complete credentialed coursework with confidence.
