NextShift Ignite is built on the Principles of Restaurant Management academic framework developed by ServSuccess and includes on-site proctored exams.

Participants complete structured coursework, earn topic certificates as exams are passed, and build a credential portfolio that demonstrates job readiness and leadership potential.

Credential level eligibility (CRP, CRS, or CRM) is determined by completed coursework, verified experience, and exam performance.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility & Program Commitment

NextShift Ignite is a sponsored, cohort-based workforce credentialing program with limited availability. Applicants must meet the following participation criteria.

Justice-Impacted Status

Applicants must have served a minimum of two consecutive years in a state or federal correctional institution and be eligible to participate in workforce training programs.

Foodservice Experience

Applicants must demonstrate prior exposure to foodservice work through at least one of the following:

• Employment in foodservice prior to incarceration
• Verified work assignment in institutional food services during incarceration

Program Commitment

Participants must commit to attending scheduled class days, completing required coursework, and sitting for all proctored exams as part of the program.

Conduct & Accountability

Participants must agree to follow program conduct, safety, and participation standards, including remaining free from illicit substance use for the duration of the program.

Technology & Learning Agreement

Participants must agree to appropriate use of provided technology and learning platforms in support of coursework and career readiness activities.

Credential level eligibility (CRP, CRS, or CRM) is determined during the program based on verified experience, coursework completion, and proctored exam performance.
