Oklahoma Responsible Beverage Sales and Service (RBSS)
Oklahoma requires all individuals who sell, serve, or supervise the sale of alcoholic beverages
to complete Responsible Beverage Sales and Service (RBSS)October 1, 2018.
RBSS training must be completed through an ABLE Commission–approved provider. Training is
Oklahoma-specific, focuses on state alcohol laws, and is offered free of charge through ABLE-approved
online or in-person courses.
After completing the course, individuals must submit their certificate to the Oklahoma ABLE
Commission (via mail, in person, or electronically) to finalize compliance. RBSS certification is valid for
2 years.
Steps to Be Compliant in Oklahoma:

Complete ABLE-approved RBSS training:
All servers, sellers, bartenders, clerks, and managers must complete Oklahoma-specific training from an
ABLE-authorized provider.

Submit your certificate to the ABLE Commission:
RBSS completion certificates must be submitted to ABLE by mail, in person at an ABLE office, or electronically
through approved channels.

Maintain proof of certification at your workplace:
Employers are expected to keep RBSS certificates on file for inspection or licensing review.

Renew training every 2 years:
Oklahoma requires all staff to complete RBSS again when their two-year certification expires.
